My first crack at #ROW80

As I write my next two books I decided to join A Round of Words in 80 Days, and have a shot at creating some consistency and accountability.

If you haven’t heard of it, you can find all of the information on their blog. Basically you set your writing goal and check in twice a week to check in with an update.

Sunday, November 10

Are you among those who started out enthused about NaNo and immediately felt overwhelmed  :raises hand:  If so, you’re in GREAT COMPANY.  State your SANE and RATIONAL goals and join us!

What am I working on?

Book 1: Beyond the Divide, the 2nd book in the Darkness Bound Series (Paranormal, Urban Fantasy).

Book 2: Untitled, will be my first erotic romance. I’ve been working on it here and there since summer, but this month I’m hitting it hard.

November Goals

Hmm. My goals aren’t exactly sane or rational this month, so maybe I should hide in the back of the class.

My goals for the month started with averaging 5k a day, but I’m currently averaging 3k. Which is also great. I should hit the 30k mark by the end of the day, and that would give me around 90k by the end of the month. I’m pretty groovy with that.

That means by next check in, I should have about 39k.

Non-Writing Goals

I also have some non-writing goals, that I’m going to throw in.

1. Sticking to my juicing diet 🙂 So, 16oz of fresh juice twice a day.

2. Exercising at least 30 minutes a day.

A Round of Words in 80 Days is the writing challenge that knows you have a life.

We are all different and we all have different demands on our time.  Why should we all have the same goal?  The simple answer is that we shouldn’t.  If you want to be a writer, then you have to be able to roll with the punches and adapt to your changing circumstances.  If that means changing your goals when your life blows up, so be it.  ROW80 is the challenge that champions the marriage of writing and real life.

  1. I’d be over the moon groovy with 90K in a month. Wow. My big goal is to get my butt in a gear and start averaging at least 3K a day, so I can get done and early (and hit at least 60K). Wishing you all the best for continued word growth.
